Rescue, assist, accompany

October 17, 2024 – During the latest meeting of the Regional Council of Anpas Emilia-Romagna, a reference point for 109 regional public assistance organizations, the Youth Group was formally established at the Casa Anpas headquarters in Bologna. The group was also officially inaugurated during the meeting. This is a large group of young people with lots of ideas and enthusiasm, who will undoubtedly bring new proposals, projects, and the essential perspective of young people to the regional association. Young people are a large and fundamental component of public assistance in Emilia-Romagna.

The young volunteers of Anpas are young men and women who volunteer in the health and social sectors, civil protection, and community service, dedicating themselves to the growth and development of community life.

Being a young volunteer at Anpas means being part of a group of people who, together or individually, work to promote active citizenship, carrying out important activities to protect those who find themselves in situations of danger or social hardship. Within our associations, volunteers can attend free training courses aimed at obtaining qualifications to carry out various volunteer activities. From Universal Civil Service to Civil Protection school camps to groups within individual associations: Anpas public assistance services have always been a meeting point for young people in individual communities who want to be active citizens and do volunteer work.

Anpas has decided to further promote youth movements within public assistance organizations by supporting them in networking best practices and experiences, but also through initiatives such as participating in and organizing national meetings.
Various programs also involve civil protection school camps, international events (such as the Sami Contest), training, and proposals for new services to benefit the community.
