Reference Values

The system of reference values on which ANPAS’ activities rest is expressed through 5 elements.

SOLIDARITY

Understood as the ability to work in the service of the individual, in areas of preeminent social importance (such as national and international adoptions) and the community as a whole (such as civil defense activities).

VOLUNTEERING

All of ANPAS’s social action is based on the recognized value of the underlying volunteer movement: the spontaneous, free and unpaid participation of people who make their time available for the achievement of a shared ideal.

SUBSIDIARITY COOPERATION

Through its activities, in Italy and abroad, ANPAS Emilia-Romagna is committed to improving health and social conditions. This is done by placing citizens in a position of equality and not subservience of the weakest, recognizing equal dignity to all in the use of services.

DEMOCRATICITY

The membership base of ANPAS Emilia-Romagna is made up of its member associations, which are called upon to forms of democratic participation in determining the association’s ideal, strategic and management choices. Often, for younger people, ANPAS public assistance represents their first contact with democracy.

TERRITORIALITY PARTICIPATION

Assessing the needs of citizenship, promoting and synergistically integrating its activities with institutions, through the responsible management of community relations, in the territory in which it operates.
