AN EXTRAORDINARY 2025 AND A FUTURE TO BUILD TOGETHER. HAPPY ‘ARANCIONATALE’ TO ALL OF YOU!
Dear Friends, Esteemed Presidents of the Public Assistance Organisations of Anpas Emilia-Romagna,
As I write these lines, I feel a sincere emotion. It is that feeling you get when you look back and realise the greatness of the journey we have made together. For this reason, my first thoughts and best wishes for this “ArancioNatale” go to you, to your tireless dedication and to the passion you put into every single day of service to those in need.
When I look back on 2025, I see a busy, tiring year, but one that was extraordinarily rich in successes. It was a year in which training and growth were our guiding principles. We worked on technique and on the heart:
• With the “Anatomy of a Moment” project, we are learning to welcome women who are victims of violence with sensitivity and competence.
• With SISMAX, we are refining our response to major emergencies.
• We have invested in the safety of our volunteers with OPA courses and Safe Driving, which has also seen us playing a leading role at the Imola Autodrome in recent days.
• We have explored crucial issues such as the revision of BLSD, forensic medicine and civil protection.
But there is one particular source of pride that I would like to share: our ‘Sapere è Salute’ (Knowledge is Health) project on paediatric first aid has become part of the heritage of the entire Anpas Nazionale organisation.
This demonstrates that Emilia-Romagna not only “does”, but innovates and leads the way, adding value to the entire national network.
And we have never forgotten that technique without humanity is nothing: as we said at FormAnpas, sometimes a smile is as valuable as a life-saving manoeuvre.
And what about the moments when we found each other? The numbers speak for themselves, but it is the faces that remain etched in my memory. I think of the more than 400 participants at FormAnpas at the Loris Malaguzzi Centre in Reggio Emilia; I think of the excellent organisation of the National Health Tournament in Borgo Val di Taro; and I think, with my heart full of hope, of the 150 young people at the Youth Meeting in Cervia. Looking into the eyes of those young people means seeing the present and future of our Association: a future that, thanks to their energy, is in excellent hands.
Dear Presidents, you know better than I do: we at Anpas are not made to rest on our laurels. If 2025 was a year to remember, get ready, because 2026 will be a year of new challenges. New opportunities and new goals await us. I know it will be challenging, but I also know with absolute certainty that I can count on each and every one of you.
From the bottom of my heart, on behalf of myself, the entire Regional Management and the entire Regional Council, I wish you a peaceful Christmas and a New Year that begins with the same enthusiasm with which we ended this one.
With affection and always Proudly Orange
The Regional President of Anpas Emilia-Romagna
Iacopo Fiorentini
